Stacked Caprese Salad

This is a very easy recipe and it’s all the better with homegrown tomatoes and basil. Wash and slice the tomatoes. Slice a ball of fresh mozzarella into discs. Stack the tomatoes, cheese and basil in alternating layers. Drizzle with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Then step aside. If I'm in the vicinity with a fork in my hand, it could get dangerous.
