Back in July when I received my Sketchbook Project book, I thought January 2011 was really far away. But here it is. And my book has been mailed back to the Brooklyn Art Library to become a permanent item in the collection. Cool. Soon (I hope), I will receive word that my book has been digitized (paid extra for that - gladly) and is available for viewing.
In the meantime, I'll post a few images of my book's pages. These are scanned images. Scanned in a hurry and by someone who has never operated a scanner - me. This is why I paid for the digitization of my work. I'll post more of these and other art journal pages in the future. Here are three very different images. This first double page spread uses acrylics, and white gel pens and on the right side I've done a packing tape image transfer of the image of the Buddha. On the right you also see the great stencil properties of the Safeway bread plastic bag. Love those little dots. This one is just blank ink roller ball pen and colored pencils. And the one below is one of my favorites. The wings of the bee are real sunflower petals. Also used are acrylics, watercolors, and a starfish stamp and white ink.
