Lunch at Bistro Jeanty in Yountville, a small town on the Napa circuit. In addition to the fried smelts, steamed pike dumplings, smoked trout salad, and other delights, we ordered baba au rum for dessert. When the waiter asked if we'd like more rum, we assumed "more" was pre-defined by the management. Who knew we were in charge of the meaning of more? By the time we realized it, we had a nice bowl of rum. No one complained.
