Sounds kind of fancy but it couldn't be easier. I didn't even make my own dough or bread. I took a big loaf of a light bread from the grocery store's bakery. Too heavy of a bread would overpower the fig and goat cheese. I sliced it in half, brushed each half with olive oil, and seasoned with salt and pepper. Each half got a thorough covering with goat cheese and a layer of sliced figs and some torn up basil leaves. I baked it until it was crispy and the cheese had softened. I'm pretty sure my mom and I ate all of it. Well, I'm sure I ate most of it.
